And, so goes the final episode in Season 3 of Downton Abbey. Lots of twists and turns in this latest episode.
As Shrimpy had said about himself, how often have you, as a solopreneur, watched things go on in your business that you weren’t happy about? How long did you wait before you took action? Did you ever take action?
Very often, we’ll complain about things and turn a blind eye to reality instead of taking the right action steps. Look at your business right now as we’re heading into March – almost a quarter into the year. Are you happy with where your business is heading? This is the perfect time to correct the course your business is on.
Here are a few things to look at to make that judgment call:
1) Are you on target for your business/marketing plan for the year? How much money did you want to make these
last 2 months? Did you reach that goal?
2) If you’re on target, great! Take this time to review what you have coming up on your plan. Does everything still make sense or do you need to readjust anything?
3) If you’re not on target, don’t sit on your hands like Shrimpy did and let your business drain away. Find and hire the resources you need to quickly turn things around. Over 70% of all small businesses fail in the first year, and on those remaining, 80% fail in the next three years. You can’t afford to waste any time!
