First of all, I can’t believe that I am actually writing about gardening. Years ago, I used to kill every plant I had. But, I’ve actually developed a “green thumb”.
Check out the two pictures below of the sunflower seeds I planted and you’ll see how much the seeds have grown in a few weeks. Amazing!
(and I’m so proud of myself for doing this).
One of the realizations I’ve had on my journey is to really look and see how I perceive myself. I’ve noticed how I used to describe myself doesn’t necessarily apply to who I am now on my journey. I’ve changed – which is the point of the journey. I am not the same person I was three years ago. That is what is so cool about the journey. Whenever, I first start working with clients (or solopreneurs in my groups), this can be a very difficult concept to explain as this change becomes a natural evolution of our powerful work together. BUT, the transformation always happens. I hear the difference in my clients’ voice, their decision-making, their confidence level and their results – they start coming from a much more powerful and happy place. It starts with trust and getting into action.
It’s the same as with the seeds I planted. The cover of the packet shows full-grown beautiful sunflowers…but the seeds certainly don’t look like that. When I put them in the soil and then covered them up with more soil and watered them, I really had to trust that would happen. Each day, I water them (and talk to them! ) and each day they continue to grow and bloom…just like me on my journey (and my clients on their journey).
Here are 3 Success Tips to help your business “bloom” :
1). Each week, make sure you are doing something to help your business grow. If you don’t, your business will grow stagnate and so will your income.
2). In your mind, picture what your business will look like when it has bloomed. Always hold on to that picture
3). Get into action. Sign up for my upcoming webinar: 4 Keys to Breaking Thru Your Financial Glass Ceiling – http://www.successcoachingwithKate.com/usscall
Please post below and share how your business is blooming.
Be Brilliant,
Kate
You’re right about doing something each week to grow your business! I let things slide for several weeks during the summer and lost momentum. 🙁 While this is fine if I’d planned for it and done it intentionally, I find myself wishing I’d handled it differently. Now I’m playing “catch up.”
I definitely need to practice being consistent! (Consistency is NOT one of my strengths.)
But it’s back to school season and I’m back in the saddle. Moving forward!
Love this Kate – How does your garden grow? The most important piece of this I think for the solo preneur is to keep that picture of what it will look like firmly in mind when they get “in the weeds”!!
