money fightHave you noticed that people often make decisions for their business based on how much it costs?   Here’s an example:  I was at a recent networking event and met an entrepreneur who was talking about her on-line recording service she uses to record audios and client calls.    There were lots of free options available and that’s what she had chosen.  She didn’t want to spend the $50 for a monthly service.  She preferred “free“.   Ok, I understand while building a business, entrepreneurs often need to economize.

She told me she had created an amazing audio recording that she wanted to sell on-line.  She had spent weeks formulating the plan, creating the content and working on her delivery.  When she got through recording, she was so very proud of herself for accomplishing this.

Here’s where the problem occurred.  She listened to the replay and discovered that part of the audio had dropped.  All of her hard work was ruined.  Her efforts were wasted.  She now had to record this again.  She was angry, upset, disappointed, frustrated about the situation.   She had to find time in her schedule to re-do this.   I asked her if her time was worth more than $50?   I know mine is.

One of the biggest complaints that entrepreneurs have is not enough time.   Knowing that, why would you want to have to do something twice (or even three or four times) due to inadequate service?  Let’s take it a step further, what if she hadn’t listened to the audio before posting it?  What would have happened if she had sent it out without testing it?  She most likely would have been embarrassed when she received complaints from customers and it would have hurt her reputation.

It’s the same with hiring a coach/consultant for your business.   If you’re ready to up level your business, do you want to work with someone who knows what they’re doing or someone who is “cheap and affordable”?   If you work with someone experienced, whether it’s a coach, bookkeeper, copywriter, photographer, who has a proven track record, they’ll be able to guide you a whole lot faster to the results you want.

Remember that expression…”you get what you pay for“.  It’s the truth!

Also, according to the Laws of Attraction,  how you spend your money will attract that same energy back into your business.  If you’re always looking 19776391_sfor “freebies”, “deals”  and not investing, you will attract that type of client/customer right back into your business.  You’re a magnet for your experiences!

Take some time to evaluate and review your investment decisions.

1)   Where are you “settling” for inadequate service, support and guidance?

2)    What type of clients are you attracting into your business?

3)    How do you spend money?

4)    How do the clients you attract into your business spend their money?

Now, it’s time to make those changes in the areas you are unhappy with.  If you want things to change, you need to change what you’re doing first.

Always remember, when you invest in a coach, service or product to up-level your business, you’re not investing in them, you’re investing in yourself!
