Ok, I have to admit that I thought I was past this stage. My entrepreneurial friends thought the same thing. We all figured that once we hit a certain income level, that the rest would be a bit of “cruise control”. We thought we were on easy street!
Hah! We were wrong. I’m even willing to admit it to the thousands and thousands who will have access to this article.
In fact, I had a conversation with an acquaintance a few days ago and she was so relieved to hear she wasn’t the only one going through this.
Maybe it’s the time. Maybe it’s all of the changes going on now. Maybe it’s because our interesting entrepreneurial world is always spinning.
We’re revamping, remaking, reorganizing and redoing. We’re revisiting our priorities, our vision and our big why. (thank you Simon Sinek!).
There are parts that are fun…and parts that feel as if I’m being pulled through the keyhole as I release old things that I no longer need.
There’s change going on now. It’s a powerful one. What was taught before by some of the really big gurus in our world isn’t working so well now. It had its time and place and now something different is needed. I’m excited about this change and to help lead it.
Why am I sharing this topic with you? Because, if you’ve heard me speak, you know I’m a dentist’s daughter and believe in preventative care. I figure if I can help you understand that the entrepreneurial world is always changing, you’ll be steps ahead of many others.
Here are a few things for you to pay attention to:
- Are you happy with your programs, products and services? I’m not asking if your clients are, that comes later. I want to know if you are.
- Are you happy with your income? Yup, I know you probably want more and I want to know if you feel like you’re in a good place or do you feel you’re in an uncomfortable place?
- Are you happy with the quantity of clients you have? Are they your ideal clients?
You’ll notice that the adjective I used was “happy”. It is purely subjective. However, if you’re not happy – no one else will be. You won’t get the results you’re looking for.
