You might say this was a stupid thing to do.
Before attending, I made myself a promise that even with my broken foot in a boot, and whether or not I was on crutches, I would dip my foot into the water. What you need to know about me is that I am a “Leo”. I’m not big into zodiac signs but I love the ocean and how it makes me feel. Perhaps, you know what I’m talking about.
I saw the sign. Even had a conversation with myself that if I decided not to do this, no one would blame me as I had a “good” excuse. In fact, who would even know if I did or didn’t go into the ocean?
Only I would know the truth. I would know whether or not I kept that commitment to myself.
The day before Hurricane Erica was due to hit, I hobbled down the stairs…broken foot and all, to stand in the beautiful Caribbean Ocean.
I disregarded the warnings, some may have even said I was stupid, however I had to keep this commitment to myself. I got some help to achieve my goal.
Climbing down the stairs was a huge metaphor. Especially, seeing that sign which was trying to stop me.
How many times in your life have you stopped yourself because you imagined a big warning sign and you used that as an excuse to stop and not go forward? As a mindset expert, I’m going to say that you’ve already done it many times this week.
How many times this week have you:
- Told yourself you’d make calls to prospective clients and then you didn’t?
- Told yourself you’d write articles/shoot videos and then you didn’t?
- Told yourself you’d give yourself a raise and then you didn’t?
- Told yourself that you’d create a new program/product/service and then you didn’t?
- And so on…
Nothing lowers your self-esteem faster than breaking a promise to yourself.
This is your business. What you have today in your life is a result of what you did yesterday.
As a result of attending, some of the past attendees have:
- Gained clarity on their niche and made over six figures!
- Let go of old money stories and doubled their income!
- Released negative beliefs about themselves, and what they were capable of and significantly increased their self-confidence (and income)!
If you’re tired of breaking promises to yourself, let’s figure out why you are doing (and not doing) what you want. Be one of 12 entrepreneurs and join me for the Money Acceleration Event and have your breakthrough.
