There’s a common problem that most female entrepreneurs won’t discuss.  I think that’s because often they’re either unaware or else it’s so painful that they don’t want to go there.

Maybe this is you?

There was a television commercial in the early 1970’s stating that women can have it all- “earn their own bacon and fry it up in a pan” based on a perfume ad for “Enjoli.”   Media was putting a lot of pressure on women to do it all.

As a result, this was partly responsible for women feeling that they had to solve everything and not ask for help.  After all, how can you both earn and fry your bacon if you’re not a strong, independent woman who knows how to do it all?

Fast forward decades later, many women are still afraid to ask for help.  Many women are scared to be vulnerable.  As a result, they become isolated, and their stories about themselves grow and grow.

They believe that:

•    Everyone else knows how to do something (but them).

•    They have to solve everything on their own.

•    They can’t ask for help as they feel it’s a sign of weakness.

•    They don’t know how to ask for help.

•    They have to act like everything is fine and dandy.

These beliefs continue to propel women feeling isolated.  As a result, when you feel isolated, you don’t have anyone to share the celebrations with or anyone to share your fears and doubts.

Now, adding on the fact that many female entrepreneurs work out of their homes and sit behind their computers all day.  The isolation grows and grows.  They compare themselves to others (when most of the others are “faking” what’s going on for them).

It doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie or seasoned entrepreneur, the loneliness and isolation are there.  It also doesn’t matter if you have a family or a partner.  You have people in your life, but the conversations and connections are often surfacey or one-sided.

I remember sitting at dinner with a friend of mine, an entrepreneur who earns close to 7-figures.  She was sharing a personal story and then stopped, looked at me with tears in her eyes and said that she didn’t have any friends.

I so get that as I’ve heard that confession time and time again.  There have been times in my own business where I’ve felt that way as I didn’t know a lot of people at my level that I could talk to about what’s going on in my business or else they were too busy to talk to about what was going on in my life.

The truth is that we women are more powerful when we come together.

If this is resonating with you, it’s time to take some action to change things.  As it’s near impossible to make these kinds of transformational changes on your own, it’s time for you to hire a mentor.  If you’re ready to take that step, let’s set up a time to talk.  Simply emailmy team to start the process.
