I NEVER thought this day would come

Eight months ago, I tripped on an acorn and broke my foot. During those 8 months, I took 7 round trip flights and 4 round trip train rides. I spoke on 3 big stages and conducted business as normal. IMG_5536 (1)
The only thing that wasn’t normal is that I was wearing a big, honking boot on my broken foot. I was ok with it the first few months, but after a certain point, I started to feel that I would be living with a broken foot forever.
I had high heel envy. Everywhere I went, I looked at the other women’s shoes…thinking to myself…someday, I’ll be wearing those again. But, deep down, I wasn’t really sure.
