There’s an expression I first heard when I became an entrepreneur.
“You don’t know, what you don’t know”.
Have you heard that before?
The other day, I was at the salon getting my hair cut. One woman was complaining to another that she wished she had done her wedding photographs differently. She would have liked to have more photos of a certain group of people. It’s obviously too late- there is no “do-over” unless she gets remarried. She’s stuck with her choices and she’s stuck with the results.
Their conversation triggered a very important subject for me to write about.
What do your (prospective) clients wish they knew then, that they now know?
Have you ever asked them?
What I’ve learned from my community, is:
- They wish they knew where/when to invest in their business
- They wish they knew how to get better results when they host discovery/strategy sessions
- They wish they knew how to attract more ideal clients
- They wish they knew what to charge
- They wish they knew how to talk about money
- They wish they knew how to overcome objections
- They wish they knew how much their “money stories” were effecting their results
- They wish they knew about the “freak out” zone
- They wish they had more clarity
- They wish they knew how/when they’re self-sabotaging
- They wish they knew how to make more money
- And, so on…
By having this information, I know exactly what to teach to my clients. Whether it’s in my coaching program, online courses or my upcoming 3 day Money Zone Event. When you know what your people want, and you give it to them, you become their “go to” expert.
If you’d like to attract more ideal clients, try this:
- If you were to ask your clients what they wish they knew then, what would they say? (Hint: Go ask them, don’t guess).
- What action can you take with the information you have found out?
- Write blogs/articles
- Create videos
- Teach workshops
- Host webinars
- Create products
Most entrepreneurs spend too much time “guessing” and talking, and not enough time listening and asking.
I’m going to challenge you to develop that resource and then take the necessary action. It will make a huge difference in who you’re attracting into your business. Let me know how it works for you.
