38521503_sI want to share something that happened to me recently.   An entrepreneur I was speaking to was frustrated that her success wasn’t happening fast enough.  In fact, she was going to leave her business to go and get a job.

She was busy pointing fingers at everyone who was to blame.  Everyone, but her.

During our conversation, I did some undercover work by asking probing questions.  What she shared is that for the past 6 months, she wasn’t showing up the way she should, she wasn’t asking for support, she wasn’t really taking action.

The real shame here is that this is a pattern for her.  She goes into her story, of what she believes is or isn’t true and then acts accordingly.  She withdraws and doesn’t take the action that will get her the result she really wants.

So, here’s my question for you.

Knowing that your results are based on your action.

And, your action is based on your self-image….

How are you holding yourself back? 

  • Do you have a plan?
  • Are you taking the right action to get you where you want to go?
  • Are you setting up a daily action plan, and sticking to it?
  • Are you breaking down tasks, delegating and prioritizing?
  • Are you asking for help when it’s needed?

The way you’ll know if you’re holding yourself back is whether or not you’re getting the results you want.

If you’re not getting those results, it’s time to challenge yourself, review the action you’re taking and make that change.

  • Create a (better) plan
  • Take the right action
  • Setup a daily action plan and stick to it
  • Break down tasks, delegate and prioritize
  • Ask for help!

Lastly, take time at the end of the day to celebrate all that you have accomplished.  You deserve it!
