12783694_sWhen I first started my business I so desperately wanted to make a lot of money.  Note the keyword in that last sentence – “desperately”.   However, what I didn’t know then is that I can’t be in a state of desperation and be a magnet to attract a lot of money.  It’s one or the other.

How often have you felt like that?  You really, really, really needed the money for something – and you were feeling scared, frightened, desperate, angry and so on.

It doesn’t matter what income level you are at to feel like that.  I’ve seen newbies and multi-millionaires have these same feelings and sleepless nights.

Want to earn more money?  Of course you probably do.  Did you know that your negative emotions are keeping you stuck from that happening?  Those emotions are so very powerful that they’ll stop you every time.

You see, you can only have one emotion at a time.   Happy or sad.  Excited or apprehensive.  Open or closed.  And, so on…

Now, you may think you’re upbeat, positive and all of that, but if you don’t have the money you want, then your negative emotions are in charge.

Let me share 5 Key Strategies that you can use to release these negative emotions when they pop up.        

  1. Take a deep breath. Actually, take three.  I know that sounds basic and one of the fastest ways to shift your energy is to breathe.  When you’re stressed out, your breathing actually becomes very shallow and you know what happens when you don’t get a lot of oxygen to your brain.   You don’t think clearly, you’re tired, cranky and so on.
  1. Accept what is going on. It is what it is, and you can’t change it.  However, you can change how you view it and how important you make whatever that thing is that you’re worried about.  It’s all how you view it.  What’s important yesterday often has no importance today.
  1. Write it down. Get it out of your head and on paper.  By taking that simple action, you can immediately start to reduce your negative emotions.   Take a look at what you wrote.  How important is it to you?  How much will you let it impact your life?  The choice is always yours.
  1. Fake it. Start to act like everything is fine.  There have actually been studies that when you “fake it” your brain is wired accordingly to believe everything is fine.  How cool is that?!

By taking any of these actions, you can open the pathways to attract more abundance.   Remember, negativity blocks the abundance.  Always.

The suggestions above will help you lower the negative emotions that are in your way.  They’re great and will work very quickly.  However, if you’re like me, you may want to have some of these things permanently released so they never, ever come back to bother you again.   Here’s my last strategy.

  1. For me – and what I use with my clients – is tapping. If you’ve never tried it, it’s an amazing technique that can shift your mindset faster than anything else around you.   Like any modality, there are lots of people out there who say they know the technique, so you always want to make sure you’re working with a leading expert (like me) when working on something this important.   This is never something you would trust to a novice!
